Registration

To get yourself vaccinated, you have to first get registered on the CoWIN portal using photo identity proof. The portal will show you the list of all the government and private hospitals serving as COVID-19 vaccination centers in Panchkula. You can choose the vaccination center of your choice and can book your appointment with the date and time availability for the COVID-19 vaccination. However, for citizens above 45 years of age onsite registration is also allowed. They can walk into the identified COVID-19 vaccination center and get registered on-site and then get vaccinated.

Corona Vaccination details

  •  After completing the registration process, you will receive an SMS on your registered mobile number.
  • It will consist of the complete details of the date, time, and place to get vaccinated. Just go to your preferred vaccination center in Panchkula for COVID (Corona) and get vaccinated.
  • You will receive the third SMS after receiving the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. This SMS will also confirm the due date of the second dose of your vaccination. Don’t forget to get the second dose of your vaccination on time. 
  • You will receive the fourth SMS after the completion of the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccination. This fourth SMS will also have a link for a digital certificate of your successful COVID-19 vaccination completion.
  • Once you get vaccinated, you will be asked to wait in the “observation area” for at least 30 minutes. This is done to keep a check and monitor if any kind of minor to major side-effects are visible.

Looking at the surge of coronavirus cases, the Panchkula Health Department has decided to conduct COVID-19 vaccination at all primary health centers and community health centers of Panchkula. 

The Panchkula Health Department has also identified eight private hospitals, impaneled under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) and the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) for the COVID-19 immunization campaign. These are:

Here we have listed few important ways to slow down the spread of the coronavirus

  • Wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth properly, securing it under your chin. If someone in your house is infected, take precautions including wearing masks to avoid the virus spreading to other family members. Wash your hands with soap before putting on your mask.
  • Stay at least 4 feet apart from others in public places. Avoid close contact with sick family members. Remember you can get infected through an asymptomatic coronavirus carrier also.
  • Get vaccinated. COVID-19 vaccine will protect you from COVID-19. 
  • Avoid going in crowds and poorly ventilated indoor spaces. Going to public places like theaters, restaurants or gymnasium puts you at higher risk for COVID-19. Better to avoid indoor spaces that do not offer fresh air.
  • Wash or sanitize your hands quite often. Wash your hands often with water and soap for at least 20 seconds. If water is not available to wash your hands, use a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Avoid touching your nose, eyes, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces daily, including your tables, door handles, switchboards, mobile phones, toilets, and sinks. 
  • Monitor your health daily. Stay alert and watch for fever, cough, breathlessness, or any other symptoms of COVID-19. Keep a close eye on your body temperature.
